Reading Reflection No.1

I decided to read Coco Chanel by Lisa Chaney. What surprised me the most was that Chanel is such a popular high-end brand and throughout her autobiography she faced many hardships, one thing that stood out to me the most was that she had to close down her shop due to the economic depression but she was able to build up again after that. Coco Chanel’s hard work and dedication to her job makes her so admirable to other entrepreneurs and other individuals. Today, I least admire that she started this business out of nothing and now it sells item that most individuals can-not afford. Yes, this entrepreneur faced failure, during World War II she had to close down her business. Coco was able to be very successful from her hard work and dedication. She grew up in an orphanage and that is where she found her passion and learned to sew. One thing that was confusing to me was how her perfume that she released took her to the next level of fame which allowed many people to learn what her brand is. If I was able to ask Coco two questions I would ask her, what made her want to be so involved in fashion? And how did she meet all of these other entrepreneurs to help her start up her company? I think these two questions can tell you a lot about an entrepreneur and give more background on how they started a business. I think Coco was a hardworking individual who took pride in her work.
