Idea Napkin 1

In this Napkin idea, I decided to further discuss the blue emergency lights on campus, I came up with the idea that if the University does not install them, that there should be a blue emergency light app to download on your phone. I think that it is important to have this safety feature no matter what college campus you are on. The app would work like this: you install it onto your phone and it works exactly like the emergency light. It would be linked to the University police/ security and would be as simple as clicking the button and them being able to track your location to come help you if your put in a dangerous situation. This app would offer an additional safety feature to students no matter where they are on campus or what situation they are in. Students and faculty would like this idea, I believe, because everyone carries a smartphone around these days and instead of going to search for the blue emergency lights, especially in places they are not located, it makes it so much easier to do it off your smartphone where they can also then track the current location. I believe safety is an important thing to worry about considering walking alone, you never know what situation you will be found in. This app will be able to help anyone on campus in need.
