Entrepreneurship Story

After thinking about past exposer of entrepreneurship, I have decided to write about my friend’s uncle. Uri Levine, who is the cofounder of Waze. Waze is a GPS navigation app that gives turn by turn navigation information and updates on traffic. After meeting Uri, it is amazing to see how hardworking and innovated he is. The hard work he has put into the app has paid off after selling it to google for over a billion dollars. This app is now used by millions of individuals all over the world and is making over 900 million dollars. Today, smartphones are so popular which is one reason why Waze is so helpful, it is an app that can be downloaded for free on your phone and can direct you to any place you need to go.  Uri lives in Israel, where the app was created. Besides creating Waze, Uri founded many other startup companies and helped many other startup companies. The hard work Uri puts into all of his companies is admirable and inspiring to many other entrepreneurs. I decided to take ENT3003 to learn more about Entrepreneurship, I started this class with no knowledge of this topic and I am excited to learn a lot, I am also a business major and I believe this is an important subject to be familiar with.
